Workspace Setup
After creating your account, you'll need to connect your Meta WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) to start sending and receiving messages through Sydx AI.
The Setup Wizard
The workspace setup wizard guides you through the entire configuration process. You'll encounter this wizard:
- Automatically after your first registration
- If your workspace setup is marked as incomplete
You must complete the workspace setup before accessing the dashboard. The platform will redirect you back to the setup wizard until configuration is complete.
Step 1: Meta WABA Credentials
You need three values from your Meta Developer Console:
Phone Number ID
- Go to WhatsApp → API Setup in your Meta app
- Find your phone number and copy the Phone Number ID
WABA ID (WhatsApp Business Account ID)
- In the same section, find the WhatsApp Business Account ID
- This is different from the Phone Number ID
Permanent Access Token
- Go to Business Settings → System Users
- Create or select a System User
- Generate a token with the following permissions:
whatsapp_business_managementwhatsapp_business_messagingbusiness_management
| Field | Example Format |
|---|---|
| Phone Number ID | 112233445566778 |
| WABA ID | 998877665544332 |
| Access Token | Long alphanumeric string from Meta |
Step 2: Webhook Configuration
After saving your WABA credentials, configure the webhook in Meta Developer Console to receive incoming messages.
Your unique Webhook URL and Verify Token are displayed on the Sydx AI setup page. Copy them into the Meta Developer Console webhook configuration.
Required Subscriptions
Subscribe to these webhook fields:
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
messages | Receive incoming messages from customers |
messaging_postbacks | Receive interactive button/list responses |
message_deliveries | Track message delivery status |
message_reads | Track when messages are read |
Step 3: Verify Connection
Once configured:
- Click "Verify & Save" on the setup page
- The system will verify your Meta credentials and webhook
- Upon success, you'll see a green confirmation
- Click "Complete Setup" to access your dashboard
Troubleshooting
"Invalid Credentials" Error
- Double-check your Phone Number ID, WABA ID, and Access Token
- Ensure the token has not expired
- Verify the System User has the correct permissions
Webhook Verification Failed
- Ensure the webhook URL matches exactly what is shown on the setup page
- Check that the verify token matches exactly (no extra spaces)
- Make sure your domain's SSL certificate is valid
"Token Expired" After Setup
- Meta tokens can expire. Go to Settings → WhatsApp Configuration to update your token at any time
Re-Running Setup
If you need to update your WABA credentials later:
- Go to Settings from the dashboard sidebar
- Navigate to the WhatsApp Configuration section
- Update your credentials and save
