Contacts
The Contacts module is your centralized database for managing all WhatsApp contacts that interact with your business.
Contact List View
The main contacts page shows a searchable, paginated table of all your contacts:

| Name | Contact's display name |
| Phone | WhatsApp number (wa_id format) |
| Status | Lead status: Cold, Warm, Hot, Customer |
| Tags | Custom labels assigned to the contact |
| Owner | Team member responsible for this contact |
| Last Active | When the contact last sent/received a message |
| Created | When the contact was first added |
Adding Contacts
Automatic Contact Creation
Contacts are automatically created when:
- A new person messages your WhatsApp number
- A chatbot flow captures a new lead
Manual Contact Creation
- Click "Add Contact" button
- Fill in:
- Name (required)
- Phone Number (required, must include country code)
- Email (optional)
- Tags (optional)
- Lead Status (defaults to Cold)
- Click Save
CSV Import
Import contacts in bulk:
- Click "Import CSV"
- Upload a CSV file with columns:
name,phone,email,tags - Map the CSV columns to contact fields
- Click Import
Contact Limits
Your plan determines how many contacts you can have. See Usage Limits for details.
- Free: 100 contacts
- Starter: 5,000 contacts
- Growth: 25,000 contacts
- Scale: Unlimited
Contact Details
Click on any contact to view their full profile:
Profile Information
- Name, phone, email
- Lead status with inline editing
- Custom tags (add/remove)
- Assigned owner
- Creation date and last active date
Conversation History
- View all messages exchanged with this contact
- Jump to the conversation in the Inbox
Notes
- Add private notes about the contact
- Visible to all team members
- Timestamped for tracking
Search & Filtering
Search
Search contacts by:
- Name
- Phone number
Filters
Filter the contact list by:
- Lead Status — Cold, Warm, Hot, Customer
- Tags — Filter by specific tags
- Owner — Filter by assigned team member
- Date Range — Created within a specific period
Bulk Actions
Select multiple contacts to perform bulk operations:
- Bulk Tag — Add tags to selected contacts
- Bulk Status Change — Update lead status
- Bulk Delete — Remove selected contacts
- Export — Download selected contacts as CSV
Lead Status Workflow
Cold → Warm → Hot → Customer

| Status | When to Use |
|---|---|
| Cold | New contact, no engagement yet |
| Warm | Showed interest, asked questions |
| Hot | Ready to buy, active negotiation |
| Customer | Converted, has purchased/signed up |
Change the status by:
- Clicking the status badge in the contact list
- Selecting the new status from the dropdown
- The change is immediate and logged in audit trail
